The main idea of the design deals with is the transition between the modified urban space and the natural character of the shores of the Rohan Island. The architectural appearance itself responds to the defunct industrial heritage of this part of Karlín. This corresponds not only to the choice of industrial and natural materials, but also to the use of slightly geometrizing morphology to define individual spaces. Concrete in various forms is mainly used for hard walking surfaces, from slabs to grassy paving. The hard surfaces complement the paved gravel areas, which can transition into grassy areas.
Street furniture is of two types: fixed basic elements are made of massive, rough-worked or industrial materials; and seasonal furniture, on the other hand, is light, informal and distinctly colorful. This division also makes it possible to respond appropriately to changing activities in the territory.
The strip of greenery between the bike path and the river is preserved as a bank with a natural character. The gradual opening of the territory towards the river towards the east responds to the character of the shore of Rohanské ostrov, which in its northeastern part turns into a popular type of urban area close to the landscape.
